This “five candle breathing” poster provides a simple and engaging way for children aged 3–6 to practise calming strategies. By showing a hand with each finger drawn as a candle, children are encouraged to take a deep breath for every finger as if they are blowing out a candle. The visual makes the abstract idea of “deep breathing” more concrete and playful, which is especially helpful for younger children still developing their self-regulation skills.
