I use these handouts the first week of school with my middle school students to ensure that the classroom rules and procedures are communicated clearly to students and their parents. The students keep these handouts in their notebooks during the school year so we can refer back to them as needed. The last page is a student/parent signature

Function Tables (Input/Output Tables)

Set the Rule and then complete the Input/ Output Table. It can be used for addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division. This can be used with Input/ Output task cards or you can partly fill in the form your self to have the students figure out the rule and the missing numbers. Set a rule, and have the students complete the table with their choice of numbers. There are so many ways it can be adapted to meet the needs of your students. Enjoy!
