On this AR Reading Log there is a place for them to write the Book Title and Author's Last Name. They are to check off when they have read it 2x's and when they took a test. After they take an AR quiz, they then fill out how many points they earned, their percent, and have their parents inital their reading log.

This letter is meant to go home multiple times a trimester to update parents on their students' progress through Accelerated Reader. Both the parents and students sign the bottom to indicate they are aware of the progress. There are a total of 13 chapters in this book. I choose to split the read aloud into 2 weeks. Chapters 1-6 were read in week 1. Chapters 7-13 were read in week 2. At the end of each week students were given a vocabulary quiz on the chapters that were read and discussed. We practiced the vocabulary words throughout the week. This document is the vocabulary quiz for week 1. The vocabulary quiz for week 2 will be uploaded as well. Enjoy!
