Here's an easy, manageable way to establish and implement a PBIS and CHAMPS strategy in your classroom. At the beginning of each quarter students are given hallway passes allowing them to leave my classroom for bathroom use, going to their locker for forgotten materials, and going to their locker for homework. In order to show increasing responsibility and maturity throughout the year, the number of passes per quarter decreases by one, except for bathroom allowances. This system was establish

I designed it so that you can place

Autism Work Study Agreement Contract

We have noticed in our surrounding community that most work study programs are set up to incorporate job coaches with the autism or special needs population. These students do have marketable sk

Hall Pass Permission Slip - Add accountability to hall pass requests!

HALL PASS PERMISSION SLIPS Make students EARN the right to use the hall pass! They must write a paragraph before they can leave. In my Spanish class, they simply use current vocabulary and grammar in their paragraph. In other content areas, they might make a summary of the day's lesson or of the current unit of study. Since I started using this hall pass idea, the number of students who try to take advantage of the system has decreased dramatically! Students who used to "need" to leave

I utilize this template to recreate "mini IEPs" for my general education coworkers. After each IEP meeting, I create this sheet (or update the current one) and then pass out to all teachers who see the child throughout the day so that they know the child's strengths, needs, goals, accommodations, services, and reinforcements. I have included an example within this document so you can see what type of information is included and how the information is presented. I hope you find it helpful!
