I used this for my gifted 3rd graders and they loved it! After a short explicit lesson on mul
cut these cards out and glue them into file folders cut into thirds. Number the pieces of folder to show the number of the question. Students must prenumber their paper. Post the folders around the room or on desks in consecutive order. TSW rotate around the classroom, with the teachers choice of time limit, and answer the questions. This can be used as a timed quiz or a class activity.
This worksheet contains 5 examples of conversions. Students color in blocks in the diagram, then figure out the fraction, decimal, andpercent that it represents. (Denominators are basic, around a 4th grade level)
This is a short lesson to review improper fractions and mixed numbers, and then to use those numbers in division problems. I used the context of making the keys of a marimba (xylophone-like instrument) to allow students to work through these problems.

This is a Mix Match Freeze game to help your students master the Addition Properties (Zero Property of Addition, Associative Property of Addition, and Commutative Property of Addition). This is a fun way to review percentand to make a real life connection. The students job is to open a restaurant that serves the tastiest meals in town. They need to name their restaurant, design a dinner meal that follows the rule, and finally calculate the profit they will make.
I have used this comprehensive activity sheet for both a quiz review and a classwork grade. Both uses have worked well. This is a great addition to any number sense mathematics unit, and was the perfect addition to our Investigations Unit! Enjoy!
