Fractions in my World Project
Students are required to make 7 statements involving the real world in which they use a fractions, decimal, and percent. Then they draw a picture to decorate it a bit. It uses one sheet of paper folded in 8 parts. An example, along with ideas, are included in the project description.

Fun Adding Decimals (Shoe Shopping Edition)
This is a great worksheet for practicing adding decimals with a real world application! Students love their shoes, Nikes, Crocs, Doc etc, which is why I picked the most popular brands to increase engagment. Once students calculate the prices of each customers purchase. there is an additional sheet where they can design their own shoe and price it. Many of these problems can be done quicker by multiplying, if you have students you'd like to challenge have them use multiplying on top of adding. O

Newspapers are an exciting way to teach Math Skills and make activities REAL for our students. This bundle of activities includes 3 activities using football scores, real estate ads and any interesting short paragraph to teach/review number sense, best buys and fractions/decimals/percents. These REAL world questions would also be great test prep items!
