This is a writing project based off of the opinion standard for 3rd grade. The kids will have to design a new playground for their school. They are persuading their principals why the school needs a new playground. This packet will come with an organizer for their information, a budget sheet, a rubric with 3rd grade standards, and organized writing pages. Use a separate piece of graph paper to have the kids design their playground. Have them use area and perimeter for each part of it.
