Designed with Special Education in mind, I created this PBL to help students get all the things they need from poetry with the luxury of using their own interest in music to get there. Students pick a song artist they like or love, then pick two songs by them. In the process they learn about figurative language, authorial intention, purpose, culture, genre, structure/form/craft. They write two reflections, identify theme across multiple texts and authors. Research is required. It's based around
