This is the pre-reading activity described in my TikTok and Instagram video from August 25 (over 2 million views on TikTok as of this posting on Aug 27) Please watch it for a thorough explanation of the activity. Basically, it is a way to increase students' interest in the novel The Things They Carried before the reading and analysis begin. This will take one class period, but give yourself time to print and organize the materials a few days ahead of time.
