Students type in their name so it appears on their screen at all times. Afterwards, students can select from 3 different hydrates and measure any amount that they want. Once weighed, they heat the crucible driving away the water. The hydrates may need to be heated 2-4 times to drive all the water off and the simulation walks students through this. Afterwards, students can solve for the hydrate formula and are provided hints and feedback on if they are correct.
