This is the template I've used to take review notes with my middle school kids. It covers setting, point-of-view, protagonist, antagonist, conflict, simile, metaphor, hyperbole, and the plot diagram. It calls for basic definitions and is a great review. This could also make a great quiz template for definitions. I also use this same template for students to answer questions over texts we've read. Most recently, they completed all of the above for The Ransom of Red Chief.
