This is a short quiz for the book David Goes to School by David Shannon. The quiz was used to assess student's readiness to take an Accelerated Reader computer based assessment on the book. The questions are unique and do not duplicate the accelerated reader questions, but is a good indicator of student attention to the text.
This quiz is for students to take to review how to use commas in a series in sentences (such as listing things). There are three different parts to the quiz. The first part, students must put commas in the sentences where they belong. The second part, students must decide whether the commas in the sentence are in the right place and if not, fix them. For the third part, students write two sentences to show the teacher they know how to use commas correctly.
