I have students tag most of their artwork; this is the best routine for my elementary art studio. I found this saves me time during art shows, contests, hallway displays, and lost projects. I use this as a formative assessment to see what studio habits students are focusing on and their understanding of that habit. Students glue the top part labeled to the back of the artwork. That so the tag can be folded backwards if needed.
