This is used as a problem to pose to teams of students. I put the problem up on the board and students work in their teams on coming up with their design and solution explanation. I usually give them about 15 minutes or so but it will depend on the level of your students. They then submit their solution and I review them to check on understanding. You can have students do this individually as a formative assessment of wave properties as well.
