Fact Comic - Learning Comparative Adjectives ESL

This is a great project to summarize comparative adjectives for ESL elementary. The students complete the sentences by writing and illustrating the comic pages. The last page is completely up to their own imagination. I would also give a student their own picture of their head to place in one of the comparative pages or on the blank page. Made to follow along lessons on my blog: http://mrsbaiasclassroom.blogspot.kr/2014/11/fun-comparative-adjectives-lesson.html http://mrsbaiasclassroom.blogspot.

This is the second page of the Egyptian Scarab Beetle project- the beetle looks great on it's own, but this really takes it to the next level! All you need is something to color with, scissors and glue sticks (or tape). Excellent lesson for substitutes too! I have used this with grades 2- 5th and got both a good reception and a good result (adjusting your standards of craftsmanship of course). Wonderful for increasing those scissor skills with younger kids.

Easter Egg art activity

Make a simple oval template on a sheet of blank paper (it won't let me fit multiple images on here). Students can use cutting skills to cut out three either free hand or from a template. Then have them decorate all three eggs and fold/crease each egg in half. Glue/paste the eggs together so that each one is touching another one of the other ones (see photo). It should stand up if it is aligned correctly. I think you could also do it with 4 sheets if you want to but this one has 3 eggs glued toge

In this activity, students will be allowed to "create" a poke bowl (from scratch) by selecting from a provided ingredients list. After circling/highlighting their food selections, they should recreate those items in the blank space provided, illustrating how they think their poke bowl should look. Black-and-white drawings are acceptable, but colored illustrations are always worth more points. This writing and drawing activity is intended to introduce children to new foods and explore their perso
