This is an activity students can do to visually see what A.M. and P.M. looks like for an entire day. The students will color the strips in colors that will show sunrise to sunset. They will glue the strips together to create a timeline of the day. They will use their clock skills to be able to put the clocks in the correct time of day. The strip can be made into a loop to show how time is not designated by clocks, but by the rotation of the earth.

A clock template that can be used as a craft with the students. Hands of clock are cut out and attached to the face using a fastener. This allows the students to move the hands. Can be glued to construction paper to make the clock more sturdy. Decorating ideas include drawing a person on face the clock, and arms on the hands of the clock.
