Centers for the Music Classroom-So, Mi, La Dice Composing
I typically use this file as a music center in small groups. I project it on my whiteboard and give the students an extra large Styrofoam dice block. I place the SO hint to the left of the treble clef on whatever space I want to use that day. Each student takes a turn rolling the die, using the chart, writing the corresponding solfege on the lines underneath the music staff, and then writing the pitch in quarter notes on the music staff. I enjoy having the students sing their composition for me

Higher Than A House - A Kodaly Lesson for High/Low
This download contains a PDF for slides to go with the song "Higher Than A House" as learned in my Kodaly Level 1. This song is AWESOME for preparing or practicing high/low.
During the preparation stage you can add movement and sing do for the low pictures and high do for the high pictures.
At the end of the PDF are pictures that you could have printed, laminated and put magnets on to use on your board and have them sort the high/low ones, or put up a high picture when the hear the high sound
