This "Daily Vocabulary Exercise" is a quick and short activity that can be done anytime throughout the day. By using this worksheet on a daily basis, my students have shown great improvement in their sentence structures and our classroom vocabulary has become part of their everyday words.

Do your students need more information about hurricanes? My district has been closed for a week, and I wanted my students to understand the reasons behind the closing. I created this booklet in Microsoft Word to do this. It is four pages with two half pages of information on each.
Included:
* What is a hurricane?
* Dangers of hurricanes
* What to remember during emergencies
* Quiz (text based questions with one open ended question)
* Identify things most needed during an emergency power out
Students will match the adjectives describing the popcorn with their corresponding sense. This activity is great to increase the understanding of the five senses and matching skills.
In this 20 minute activity, students are building vocabulary fluency! I love to use this activity as a "pre" and "post" unit formative assessment- Which vocabulary words do students already know? Which do they not know?
Teacher directions are included.
This is a booklet that I send home with students to work on with their parents. Students go outside and record their observations. This is an easy way to increase parent involvement in their student's academia. This can be incorporated into any science lesson.
