Linear Equations Project: Parallel and Perpendicular Lines

Preview includes directions. Actual product includes directions, sample project, student worksheet and rubric. This project asks students to create a picture using linear equations on a graph. Students will then be expected to give the equation for each line drawn as well as determine (and justify) if any lines are parallel and perpendicular. This is a great chance to allow students to showcase their creativity. Works well as a solo or collaborative assignment.

**PRE-MADE SIGNS IN PREVIEW** This is a strategy that I learned about in a PD meeting. I used it in my classroom and realized a few things immediately: -- > It takes a lot of time to make (which is why I've now made it for you :-) -- > It's very effective The traditional 4 corners game goes like this: 1) Put up 5 signs around the classroom that say each of the following intersecting, parallel and perpendicular (as a vocabulary practice). 2) Project the picture 3) Either call on the entir
