This lesson plan aligns with Oklahoma academic standard 2.N.1.4, in which students will find the number that is ten more and the number that is ten less than a given number up to 100, and the number that is 100 more or 100 less than a given number up to 1000. Begin teaching your lesson with a number chart. Show your students how to find the number that is ten more than a given number by counting forward ten numbers, and that the number that is ten less is found by counting backward ten numbers.
