6th Chick

I have over 20 years of teaching experience ranging from Pre-K through 8th grade. I currently find my self teaching middle school science that I thought was the end of the world. Little did I know that my world was just beginning. I have found a new passion in middle school.

I would call myself Neo-traditional...is that even a word? Totally Titanical!!!! I LOVE the technology that is open to our kids but still like to give them a pencil and crayons to create interactive notebooks that they can touch and experience. I also have about as much attention span as the kids I teach. You will find me switching gears about every 20-25 minutes as we transition from one task to another. I definitely do not teach the same plan year after year. I get bored too easily! :)

I have the honor of being a mom to 3 beautiful children and one I-DO Daughter and a wife of 25 amazing years to my best friend and husband. I am awarded wonderful compliments from past and current students and parents that I meet at the local grocery store or restaurant. I also have been voted Teacher of the Year at the combination middlle/high school where I teach.

I graduated from Florida International University in Miami, FL I hold certification in Math grade 5-9, Elementary Education, and ESE

I live in a rural county in North Florida and love platforms that allow me to share, glean, and contribute teaching and life ideas to others. We have a myriad of farm animals and a really special dog named Pete.
