This activity is fantastic for area and perimeter practice. Students will get to design their own bedroom by placing furniture in their room. First, they figure out the area and perimeter of their room. Then, cut out and glue all their furniture. On their furniture log they can write down the dimensions and calculate the area and perimeter. At the end, they compare how much floor space they had before the furniture and after.
