This is a picture chart I created to help my son keep track of his morning and evening routines. He picks out a weekly reward every Sunday evening (playdate, trip to the playground, family movie night etc.). We set a goal for __ checks each morning/evening, which earns him a check/sticker for that day. If he gets stickers for every day, he earns his chosen reward that week! I keep a copy in a page protector so we can write on it with a Vis a Vis pen, erase, and reuse each week. But you could

This is a handy little list of cleaning tasks my son can help with around the house. He is still at the age where he loves to help, and I love having less cleaning to do! I included pictures of specific tools (duster, vacuum) that we have so they would be easily recognizable to him. This is an editable Word document so you can customize it to your needs/your child's abilities.

I believe that learning should be engaging - everyone has an innate desire to learn, even if school sometimes suppresses it. If we can make learning transparent and engaging, all learners can be successful!

Additional biographical information

While I continue to work with teachers and students in the upper grades, which I love, I also do a lot of work with my 5-year-old son at home to support his areas of interest and fan his natural spark of curiosity. So I'll share things I create from both areas!
