I LOVE using this command in my beginning strings classes. We learn how to "zip our feet" during the first class, and it serves as a great quick reminder throughout the years (yes, years) to fix your posture, whether sitting or standing.
Super simple activity and/or assessment for young students! This would be a great introduction to the string orchestra, as it clarifies the differences between these four instruments. Help students learn the difference between the violin and viola, as well as the cello and double bass! Great for a young beginning orchestra, general music class, and much more! Gone are the days of the "violin, big violin, cello, and big cello!" #justiceforviolas
These SIMPLE worksheets were designed to learn and practice note names! Students can practice differentiating the lines and spaces of the music staff using the provided mnemonic devices. I am happy to offer adjustments by request! Happy teaching!
