Experience

Welcome Speechies, Teachies, Parents, and all who have a passion to help students better improve their speech! Teaching style

I believe the best way to teach children who are beginning their speech and language journey is to get creative and interactive. Incorporating their interests and early learning concepts such as colors and animals can engage them to want to learn and play. Being your best and silly self with students can help to meet them at their level and grasp their attention so they feel like they are playing a game while really, they are learning!

Awards & shining teacher moments

Within my experience, many of my colleagues have complemented the creativity that I bring to sessions in such a simplistic way. So much so that they encouraged me to start my "Articulation Antics" journey to share these activities with you all! I often hear from teachers and parents that their students/children come back from therapy sessions sharing that they had so much fun playing and learning their speech sounds. I have earned honors and excellence awards within my schooling experience, but the true shining moments are guiding students to make breakthroughs with their goals and watching their confidence grow and radiate after being discouraged and frustrated by tricky sounds.

My own education history

I hold a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree, along with countless other classes and trainings. Gotta love all of the CEUs :) I am excited to continue learning and exploring the endless information out there to better the lives of children!

Additional biographical information
