I make my own writing journals for my students. This is the cover I allow them to color and make their own. I then print out writing paper and 3 hole punch it together to make it a journal :)
I use these different size name tags for different purposes. I use the small ones for my cubbies, job board, lunch count. I use the big ones for above the students coat hooks, "I need you" cards so they don't interrupt me when I'm working with students.
I use these big pencil name tags to match my small ones in the classroom for consistency. These big name tags I use on my coat hooks and as "needing assistance" cards that they put down with me when I am at the teacher table instead of interrupting.

I celebrate 3-4 holidays around the world in December with my students. I've printed out a pretend passport and each country we travel to they get a "stamp" in their passport just like in real life! So fun!
Teaching Bossy R can be confusing! I like to use a pirate to help me. "ar" is the happy pirate. "ur" "er" "ir" is the mad pirate because he has to share the sound with THREE other letters and "or" is the oars he rows with! I have these printed and laminated and put on display as introduced.
