Life Functions and Cell Parts Review

This is a great review activity, or can be used as some introductory notes on the major cell parts as well as the eight life functions necessary for survival. As NYS students they take a Regents exam (a state assessment) at the end of the year, so it is one of the ways I use to help students remember the eight life functions. Experience

I have been teaching High School Biology and Forensics for over 10 years. I also have a passion for instructional technology and working with fellow educators to increase their abilities and confidence at using technology in their classrooms. My school is a Google school, so that is most of my skillset.

Teaching style

Hands on activities are where I am most comfortable. I enjoy activities that get students thinking outside the box, and manipulating things whether it be data or lab materials, or cutting and pasting things for visual understanding. I want students continually questioning things, when they are uncomfortable in their knowledge and understanding, that is when they make the greatest strides.
