I've spent my experience working in Elementary level classrooms. I spent my first year as a Technology teacher and taught all grades. I incorporated technology into the general education setting. Next, I taught second grade for three years. Now I'm a third grade teacher.

Multiplication Search for Fact Fluency 1 - 12
This is a 24 page packet with a "word search" type activity for multiplication facts. The first set is in color, and the second set is in black and white. Students simply look for the equation in the search box. Once they find it, they write the correct answer down.
Easy, great for fluency, and the students love it!

DREAM ROOM - Using Area (multiplication) in Real Life
This is a one lesson activity where students use square units OR square feet to design their own room. (I have some students that just aren't ready for square feet quite yet). They will be creating a blue print of a dream room. I've included a slide full of student "dream rooms." I always like to show them a real blue print before they begin. My students LOVE this!! Students roll a dice twice. They will use the two numbers to create an array with colored pencils on their activity sheet. They will name the array with a matching multiplication equation. Can be differentiated by having students only write repeated addition instead of multiplication.

Parent Guide to Two Digit Addition
This is a one page front and back guide to addition strategies we use in our classroom. The strategies include compensation, partial sums, and the number line. It shows how we hope to use the number line to become mental. It's a great resource to introduce to parents at anytime during the addition unit!

Word Problems within 20
As we know, Common Core has many types of Word Problems needing to be taught and assessed. I have the *result* unknown portion of the unit. The result is the sum or difference in an equation.
Example problems include:
There are 7 apples and 9 bananas in the bucket. How many bananas are there altogether?
7 + 9 = ?
And
Mario has 11 baseball cards. He gave 6 away. How many does he still have?
11 - 6 = ?

Factors of a Product (and introduction to prime/composite)
This is a 3 day unit to reviewing what factors are/ introducing the concept of finding all of the factors of one product. This product includes 3 days worth of activities:
-whole group lesson and activity (teach and practice)
-independent practice (there are two of these that are leveled by difficulty)
-whole group lesson then partner or group work. Students will use higher level thinking to find all of the factors of a given product (these are leveled as well).
