¡Vamos a pescar! Let's fish!

This activity requires a magnetic fishing rod, easily purchased on Amazon for short money. You can also make a rod using a clip on magnet, some string and a ruler. Then put a paper clip on each card so they can be "caught" by the magnetic fishing rod. Students sit around the "pond". Give a rod to students on op

The AB student dialogue is a great way to get students talking. I do a speed dating format for the activity where I have one line of students stay in one spot and I have the another line rotate to a new partner when I flash the lights. The activity is written in English and gives students prompts that they have to complete in the target language. Students can and should try doing the A and B roles. This can be used in any second language (not specific to Spanish).
