This card stack activity works well in pairs or individually. I actually use it as a first day activity for my MDM4U class, as a way to get them working together and thinking about probabilities again.

This is a great collaborative activity for the first day of MPM2D 10 Academic Math. Grade 9 skills covered include solving equations, simplifying expressions, evaluating integer and fraction expressions, calculating slope and determining equations of lines. Cards are self-checking. Students can work individually or in small groups to solve any question. The answer will be found on the back of another card.
