About the store
My education background is in Inclusive Children Education, giving me a solid foundation for both general elementary and special education. I taught three years in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia as a Resource teacher. I had the opportunity throughout those 3 years to teach every elementary grade level & subject area ... sometimes at the same time! (Yikes!) During that time, I taught in both the small group setting and as a co-teacher in many classrooms. I've facilitated my fair share of IEP meetings and "collaboration" became an important word in my career, as I worked with teachers, specialists, parents, administration, and most importantly, students. Today, I'm grooming my own two children to be excellent future students and am excited about the opportunity that "Teachers Pay Teachers" provides me for continued teacher collaboration!

Teaching style

I truly believe that learning should be an overall enjoyable experience . . . for both the students and the teacher! Our challenge as teachers is to take the curriculum and standards that we're given and create lessons and an environment that is engaging enough for our students to learn in. Behind the scenes: I love to feel and know that I'm organized. Perhaps especially in the special education world, organization keeps a teacher sane! I also believe in a balanced work:home life and being organized equips us to do so!
