Experience

Welcome! I’m the teacher behind Brightway Learning — a Science department coordinator and elementary science teacher creating engaging, practical resources for young learners. My mission is simple: to make teaching easier and learning more joyful and creative. I design classroom-tested lesson packs, printable games, and creative activities that are teacher-friendly and ready to use.

Teaching style

As a Science department coordinator and elementary science teacher, I strive to make science approachable and fun. I use hands-on activities, experiments, projects, printable games, and digital tools to help students apply their learning in practical, meaningful ways. I closely monitor progress to spot disengagement and use engaging activities plus a recognition system to build confidence. My goal is a supportive, inclusive classroom where previously frustrated students discover their curiosity and enjoy learning.

My own education history

I earned a Bachelor of Biology and completed a course in Education for Young Learners. I continually pursue professional development in inquiry-based, hands-on science instruction, including workshops on STEM integration, digital tools, formative assessment, and classroom differentiation. These experiences inform the practical, standards-aligned resources I create for teachers.

Additional biographical information

Before becoming a teacher, I was a researcher studying the use of a bacterial strain to remove pollution from seawater. That research—focused on real-world environmental solutions—inspires my classroom lessons and shows students how science can tackle important problems.
