A lesson on the Rwandan Genocide as part of a follow-up to a Unit on the Holocaust. Helpful in expressing to students that genocide is not a thing of the past. It also includes an overview of the situation in Darfur/Sudan. See also my listing "Rwandan Genocide Timeline," Which is a worksheet for students and is an important part of this lesson. The standards are for the NCSS and the Pennsylvania department of education, but it will undoubtedly fulfill other state's standards as well.
A quick reference guide of 49 special education acronyms. Good for any classroom and especially helpful for general education teachers with little special ed background.
This worksheet will help any educator develop lessons as part of a larger unit. The preview is a shortened version, the actual document is 2.5 pages long and leaves plenty of room for detail! This can be used on a computer or printed out to be hand-written on. ENJOY!
This is great for middle/early high schoolers. I always have my students bring in composition books. I put an "extra credit card" on the front so that they can earn extra credit by doing good things, and require them to keep their notebook organized for the entire year. Almost all of their assignments are either written in the notebook or glued in. This is especially good for students who have a hard time keeping track of papers!!
