About the store

Yeh Shen Questions - Small Group Discussion Activity

Get your students discussing literature in small groups with this activity for Yeh Shen (A Cinderella Story from China). Questions ask students to utilize some of the six ACTIVE reading strategies I use in my classroom. Directions at the top of the activity introduce Kagan's Fan-N-Pick protocol, where students take turns answering questions. This strategy asks all students to participate!

Teaching style

I enjoy creating interactive activities for students to help them engaged with the curriculum. I enjoy using technology to enhance experiences, but also believe paper activities are important. I love being creative and thinking outside the box!

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have had the honor of presenting at the New York State English Council conference three times. I enjoy sharing my work with colleagues, and learning from others. I am the English department chair at my school. I have also had the opportunity to coach and mentor others throughout my teaching career.
