This worksheet can be used with any science world (current science) magazine article. It asks students to analyze the article (title, essential question, summary). I use this worksheet once a week to combine reading comprehension and science discoveries. Students find the format easy to follow.

Collect actual, up to date weather data from the NOAA.gov website. This data table is set up in order to help keep the information in the correct spot. After the first day, comparisons will be make with the previous days. At the end of the week, it includes an analysis of the entire week.
Do you expect your students to explain data tables? This outline helps students identify the variables in a data table or graph. Then determine a claim based on the relationship between the data. The will analyze the data to support their claim with evidence and include the data. Finally they will have to explain their reasoning. This outline will work for a variety of topics and courses. These are fill in Cornell Style Notes. They include the major weather variables (temperature, wind, cloud cover, humidity, dew point, and air pressure. Students need to have an understanding of these terms before talking about fronts and air pressure systems.

After many years of teaching, I realized students interrupted the video when I had them fill in the blanks during a video.
