Learning are designed to motive students. School should be fun and exciting. Students should develop self-discipline to stay on task while enjoying learning. All students should be challenged at every level of learning.

Appeared on "Good Morning America" as Chess Queen for teaching whole schools to play National Board Certified and Renewed Inducted into the Miss Master Hall of Teachers in 1994 Appeared on cover of Channel One magazine as "Teacher's Pet" Region Five Middle School Teacher of the Year for Texas Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year for Vicksburg, MS Middle School Teacher of the Year, Madison, MS Published ten times in four different educational magazines President of Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma for six years

Started as a speech therapist (2 years) Then taught learning disabilities and special education (11 years) Then taught gifted education (15 years) Then taught adaptive behavior classes (2 years) Then taught high school teachers how to teach as Teaching Academy Director (2 years) Then taught gifted education (5 years) Presently teaching reading and social studies to 5th graders

Mother of 4 grown children. Married for 38 years. Hobbies-swimming, reading, and my dogs.
