In this document you will find 11 short quizzes on main idea in Google forms format. Each quiz has a different passage with similar question types and automatic grading. This makes it easy for data collecting. I use these check-ins as do nows, exit tickets, centers, or Friday quizzes. Click on each link to make a copy in your google drive. Note: If you want to use a paper copy instead, on the quiz go to print and select print as pdf.

This set of fluency passages was created with 5th grade readers in mind. Each of the 20 passages is carefully written to build reading fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension through structured, meaningful practice. This collection of 40 fluency sentences is designed to support 5th grade students in strengthening their reading fluency and comprehension. Aligned with the end-of-year expectations for 5th grade (Lexile range: 830–1010L), these sentences incorporate a variety of sentence structures, academic vocabulary, and meaningful content. Each sentence encourages expressive reading, promotes vocabulary growth, and reflects the complexity needed for strong, fluent reading at this level.
