This is a great interactive tool to use when teaching the concept of borrowing or regrouping in subtraction problems. This PowerPoint introduces regrouping or borrowing in subtraction to the tens place. Students are taken step by step through the process. This can be used to introduce regrouping for the first time or be used as a review lesson. Visuals of tens and ones are used to give a better understanding. The purpose of this PowerPoint is that the student will be able to perform regrouping in subtraction with understanding.

This is a PowerPoint that reviews place value to the thousands place. Students answer questions such as “How many ones?”; “How many tens?”; “How many hundreds?”, and “How many thousands?” as you click through the slides.
Procedure: Ask the question, wait for a response, and click the answer onto the screen. A worksheet is included to be used after the review for more reinforcement.
