By using engineering guided notes, middle schoolers can better comprehend engineering lessons, organize their knowledge, and apply these principles in hands-on design challenges. Guided notes foster interactive, focused learning while giving students material to reference throughout their explorations of engineering. This product is a companion to the PLTW Green Architecture Curriculum. This unit focuses on green building and sustainable resources.

Students in Introduction to Engineering Design work through the Engineering design process to design, build and test a fling machine (catapult). Students will use this resource to record their data, analyze their data, etc.

In this activity, students will work with class data from the previous Instant Challenge Activity 1.1.1 and then participate in another challenge.
