Experience
In high school I started volunteering at my sisters daycare after school and discovered the passion I had for children and teaching. I moved to Maryland to pursue a degree in elementary education. During college, I taught Kindergarten through Twelfth grade at a local private school. Upon completion of my Bachelor's degree from Towson University, I accepted a job teaching for a public school system in Maryland. I have been teaching 5th grade for 5 years and I love every minute of it!
Teaching style
My style of teaching is summed up in two words, "controlled chaos". I believe that students learn best when they are engaged, challenged, and active.
My own education history
I was born and raised in Florida and attended public school for elementary and middle school. Once my two older sisters graduated they decided to enroll me in a private school for my high school years. It was a huge transition going from a class of 600 to 60 but the experience will never be forgotten.
I received my Bachelor's Degree from Towson University in Elementary Education.
Currently I am in a program at Mt. St. Mary's University for administration and will complete my course work in the summer.
