About the store
Teaching is a second career for me. I spent the first half of my working career as a human resources professional. This gave me a great opportunity to develop my interpersonal skills, something that has helped me out as a teacher of 7th and 8th graders! I decided to make a career change in 2002. A year later I was completing my student teaching as a business teacher at the local high school. I've been teaching both high school and middle school business/computers since 2007.

Timed Typing Grade Sheets
These are the grading sheets I use to grade keyboarding lessons in my 7th and 8th Grade computer classes. I use these in conjunction with the website Typing.com. Each lesson is graded on both speed and accuracy. In this file you will find a grading sheet for both 7th and 8th grade. Percentages are also given for easy grading!

Teaching style
My primary goal in the classroom is to help students develop critical thinking skills. If they learn nothing other than how to solve their own problems through trial and error and logic, I will consider myself successful! I also prefer to act as a facilitator in the classroom,as opposed to the traditional lecture style teaching.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration as well as a Master's degree in Education. I have a K12 certificate in Business Administration and a 7-12 certificate in Social Studies.
