Nancy Holden, founder of Dance with Nance and Grammyandme SEL has been teaching dance classes, music, movement, ballet and tap programs in preschools and elementary schools across the nation since 1987. With a history of teaching over 2000 students in 60 locations at various schools and centers with her mobile dance company, Nancy is now introducing Original Children's Musicals, concerts and assemblies for schools, training webinars, 100 page teacher training manual for educators along with fun puppet theater and dance classes for children with special needs, to give all children that love to dance and sing the opportunity to develop and express their creative gifts at any age!
Joining forces with her brother/composer John Schaller, our love to write music helping children with social and emotional learning through manuals and special workshops has been our focus these past 5 years! Teaching style
Miss Nancy's Friends is our production company for "Original Children's Musicals." Developed by our staff from a passion to help children express themselves through dancing, singing, and acting, Miss Nancy's Friends uses music, dance and puppets to help children learn about the "attributes" and "values" that are inside of them. "What's Inside of Me?" is the theme of our weekly YouTube videos, and fun concerts, assemblies and teacher training are now being offered online or at your school to assist students in learning about these values! All the music is original music written by John Schaller who plays Uncle Johnny and he lives at TuneTownKids.com. Miss Nancy and Uncle Johnny have produced a 7-song CD along with 7-videos to add to the Miss Nancy's Friends Original Children's Musicals.
Unique "Finger Puppet" and "Tapping Lap Tables" are also used to help children that have special needs or injuries dance and sing while they sit comfortably with finger puppets that have taps on them! All scenes, story lines, music, and videos are based on 50-attributes such as Love, Friendship, Confidence, Forgiveness, etc., and they all are available for purchase for parents and teachers. My own education history
Miss Nancy holds her BS degree, Biola University, and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential Substitute Teaching at National University, 35 years of teaching dance and theater, music/movement and ballet classes at 200 preschools, elementary schools and community centers, 20 years dance lessons in tap, ballet and jazz genres and choreographing musicals!
Uncle Johnny graduated from Metro State University in Denver with his Bachelor Degree in Music Education, Digital Media (Associates in Digial Media), Graphic Design at Westwood, Associates Degree,
Videographer and Editor, Metro State, Videographer for College Digital Media Department, Editor and Web Developer and Performing Artist and Music Developer
Additional biographical information
Both Miss Nancy and Uncle Johnny are brother and sister and have had a love for music and dance since birth! Our father John Schaller, was also a professional composer with the Checkmates and taught us both the joy that music brings to our soul! We are so blessed to be able to share our love for music and movement with children!
