These flash cards are an early introduction to algebra which are designed to build on mental addition/subtraction strategies. Students find the value of the 'fish' which represents a missing number using their knowledge of 'Friends of 10'. These cards can be used in a variety of different ways and have the missing numbers included within the set so that students can have fun matching the equation to the answer too.

A set of 40 boggle cards that can be used in a variety of different ways in the classroom. The cards are designed to develop vocabulary and word knowledge. To further engage your students with these cards, set a class competition (either in groups or individually) where students try and find as many words as they can within a designated time frame. Alternatively, create a points system (e.g. 1 letter words = 1 point, 2 letter words = 2 points etc) to increase the complexity of the activity.
