About the store

I will be starting my fourth year as a classroom teacher when we return in the fall of 2013. My first two years were spent teaching a third and fourth grade multiage class in New Gloucester, Maine. My third year I moved into a straight fourth grade position, while assuming a role as a teacher leader in my school.

The Student & Teacher Behavior Reflection Sheet is a great tool to reflect on student behavior throughout the year or just before parent-teacher conferences. This two page document give students a chance to self-assess how they see their own behavior, but also give teachers a place to chime in. This document also includes a space for students to reflect on what has gone well and what they wish to focus on in the future.

Teaching style

I love encouraging students to go out on a limb to look at the world in a new way. I believe it is important to let children grow to be individuals who should not fit into a "one size fits all" world. To do this, it is my belief that instruction should be valuable, realistic, interactive, interesting, and meaningful.
