Fun activity that can be done within two days or as extra credit. Students take a personality career quiz on the ipads or computer. Next they research the pay of the career they chose. Next they calculate a budget based on their monthly income. Then they get to chose a college and figure out their savings for 18 years.

y=mx+b We teach our kids to just substitute in x for the equation in 7th grade. This does not have Change in Y over Change in X in these notes. Its a great way to teach it cause they practice substitution with equations, and their integer rules again. Print as a PDF booklet format.

TEK 6.14

The students will calculate speed and graph it using the equations they learned in both the math and science sections of the smartboard activity. You need 2 footboards, small toy cars, yard stick or measuring tape, and a timer. We did the experiment as a class rather then in groups.

Key for my saving for money foldable

Students will tie in 25 prime numbers 1-100 to christmas being on the 25th. Each prime number will be written on a christmas ordainment. They will glue the top of the page to their notebook page and write notes underneath it over prime factorization.
