These fraction strips are purposefully not labeled so that students can practice identifying fractions. (wholes, 1/2s, 1/3s, 1/4s, 1/6s, 1/8s are included) Print each sheet on a different colored cardstock. This can be used for equivalent fractions, composing and decomposing fractions, and adding and subtracting fractions.

Using snap cubes, students discover that numbers that are divisible by 2 are even.

Students will decide in groups whether each statement on the slide is a fact or a fib. You can play this game where each group discusses the answer, or each student in the group has cards that say "Fact" and "Fib." Then when the teacher says "Showdown!" the students put their cards down that shows their answer. The students will then look at everyone's card in the group and discuss. The teacher then verifies the correct answer.

1.5F The student is expected to determine the unknown whole number in an addition or subtraction equation when the unknown may be any one of the three or four terms in the equation.

10 questions that allow students to practice adding compatible numbers. You may set the timer to advance slides at your appropriate grade level.

10 Question Review Game Place students in groups/teams. Teams work together to decide on the correct answer. The team captain will show the answer on a white board when given signal from the teacher. Each team who gets the correct answer gets a point. The team captain will take a basketball shot to try for an extra point for their team. Rotate the team captain/whiteboard for each question.

Students will get in partners- one student faces toward the screen and the other student faces away. The person facing toward the screen describes each 3D solid using vocabulary such as vertices, faces, and edges. Note to teacher- The first slide, you must click the mouse to start the game, then each box will fly off the picture every 10seconds. There are 2 slides, so each person has a turn.

6 practice questions where students select the point to complete a given angle. This mirrors the STAAR test questions for 4.7D. Resources are hard to find that match this standard the way it is tested!

Each student will get either a whiteboard or 4 cards (A,B,C,D). Every student will answer each question individually. On the teacher’s command, the students will each show their answer. Those students who got the answer correct will get one point and get in line to shoot one bean bag into a pocket for more points.
