Your budding science will explore designing and creating their own marshmallow catapult. Student teams will compete with other student teams to shoot the marshmallow the farthest. To crank up the competition, they will be charged for supplies and it will be computed into their score. The smallest cost per unit of measurement wins.

Resistant writers sometimes need a little push to get going, I have made cue cards for the writer to place in order and add details as they go. Transfer of Energy Paper Swap Some students struggle with writing when they see a blank page and feel lost. A new idea that I tried for a district writing brought awesome results. I had one student start the writing with details of the setting, characters, etc. They only write 2 or 3 sentences. They trade their papers when they are done and continue the writing by adding 2 or 3 sentences.
