About the store
I started teaching high school math after several years of tutoring, subbing and TA'ing. When I came to my own classroom in 2022, I searched for hands-on activities that would help my students do something with math. Since I couldn't always find exactly what I was looking for, I decided to make my own materials.

About the store

Experience

I started teaching high school math after several years of tutoring, subbing and TA'ing. When I came to my own classroom in 2022, I searched for hands-on activities that would help my students do something with math. Since I couldn't always find exactly what I was looking for, I decided to make my own materials.

Teaching style

Some of my students need me to lay everything out for them and give them the steps. Others want to learn by doing and moving, so I try to blend lecture with activities. Since a lot of my prior education background is in language-learning, I frequently draw on concepts like Total Physical Response (TPR) and card sorting.

My own education history

After graduating with a BA in Math, Spanish and French in 2019, I started a Master's degree in Descriptive Linguistics, which a family health crisis forced me to step away from. I returned to my hometown and found an opening for a high school math position, earned my Alternate Resident Educator License, and started teaching math in 2022.
