This is an outline I created to teach students how to write the NYS Global History and Geography Regents' Enduring Issues Essay. It has been helpful in teaching my 8:1:2 students how to format the essay. I write my own essay on the first one of the year, then have them copy what I write (word-for-word) and slowly scaffold this throughout the year until they start doing it with no outline.

In this Google Slides Presentation, there are 50 prompts included. After each prompt, there is a slide that looks like lined paper that can be typed in for student responses. It's part of the NYS New Visions Curriculum as the start of teaching U.S. History. It's the first map that says "America" on it. I use it as a discussion piece and an introduction to primary sources again. The links to print pieces of the map are at the end. I found this to be an easy shortcut for my students in my two-year Algebra 1 class. My students struggle with factoring and I found this to be easy for them to use with some explanation. It's a simple calculator shortcut.
