About the store
I was a public-school teacher for several years before I decided to step away to raise a family. I began homeschooling when my children were school age and have homeschooled them ever since. I have one who just graduated high school and another who is a junior. I have a heart for teaching and feel blessed to be able to teach my children and others through co-op, tutorials, and AHG. My goal is to instill a love of learning with students with the hope that they will carry that with them in the years to come.

Experience

Teaching style
I appreciate every opportunity I am able to make learning fun through hands on experiences, field trips, visuals, games, travel, and other ideas that come to mind or are shared with me. Textbooks are frequently used as a guide that we can build and branch out from.
My own education history
I have an elementary education teaching degree with a reading and ESL endorsement, along with a master's degree in educational leadership.
Additional biographical information
I love spending time with my husband and children at our farm, traveling together, and any other adventure we are on. In addition to homeschooling and teaching, I'm heavily involved in an AHG troop. We've been part of the program for 10+ years and love pouring into the girls and the families who are a part of our troop and neighboring troops.
